Zach Mayer is a CrossFit Coach and Personal Trainer at Reebok CrossFit LAB. Two years ago, he stepped into a CrossFit box in Eugene, Oregon and has never looked back; his passion for fitness and sports was reignited. Growing up Zach played lacrosse, ran cross country and played recreational soccer through college. However, moving heavy loads across long distances at a high intensity holds a special place in his heart.

As a personal trainer, there no greater feeling than to help teach and guide others along their path to health and fitness. "To restore the reservoir of self respect and confidence through fitness," says Zach, "is the reward of my work." Over the past year, Zach has fully immersed himself in the fitness industry through formal study, rigorous training and practical application in the class setting at the LAB. He feels incredibly lucky to make his passion his full time work.

When Zach is away from the gym, he enjoys exploring LA via motorcycle, drinking specialty coffee and spending time with his girlfriend, J.Lucy, and their dog, Shadow.

Cortni Joyner was a natural athlete and grew up playing soccer. She was an all-SEC midfielder at the University of Georgia before spending 3 years in the W-League with the Atlanta Silverbacks.

After moving to LA in 2010, she found herself struggling to recreate the competitive atmosphere of the soccer world. More importantly, she needed to find a training regimen that wouldn't bore her to tears. Enter Crossfit. "I used to watch the other sports on campus (at UGA) and steal little bits and pieces of their workouts, put them together and create my own workouts. Crossfit was like that, times one hundred. What made it even better was the community and being able to train in a team environment again."

Cortni's goal is to bring her enthusiasm and experience as an athlete onto the coaching floor. She believes when her clients feel safe and comfortable in their environment, they are able to push themselves more – physically and mentally. She loves seeing members hit PR’s and learn new movements.

Cortni's motto is, "Crossfit isn't about being the best, but about being your best."

When she's not coaching or working out, Cortni is working her J.D. at Southwestern Law School.

Rush Kemp is the General Manager and Personal Trainer at Reebok CrossFit LAB. His CrossFit journey started off and on about 3 years ago, and was hooked from day one. Making major life changes and moving to Los Angeles in 2013 to start his career goals in the Fitness Industry. Fitness has been a point of interest since he was 6 years old, watching his mother compete in power lifting meets. He started researching and forever wanting to learn about muscle development and healthy living.

After training friends and family on the side for years, he came to the conclusion that switching to a career in personal training, and helping others discover their potential would be the biggest reward anyone can ever achive. Real results and creating a lasting bond between himself and his clients no matter what their goals are is what it's all about. When he's not training or in the gym he's bummin' it at the beach.

Rush's motto is, "Winning isn't everything, but wanting it bad enough is."
